we met up at the mall and did some well deserved cake eating and window shopping, it was great to see them for it has been so long.

this dress i recently bought for it was marked down from$120 to $20... got to love a bargain.

anyway, was going to wear it for my hens night but after the struggle i have been having trying to find a dress for my wedding reception, im thinking that maybe this would do.

what do you guys think, should i keep looking?

survived the heat by going to the movies. we watched sherlock holmes. good movie but the ending disappoints.

things that make me smile...

i have been meaning to post this up for a while and share some things that make me smile....

one of the 3 things that make me smile are the following gifts i have received from overseas....

a key chain from paris given to me by a client as a thank you...

a chiristmas ornament from japan given to me by a family friend...

postcards from nice sent to me by my mother when she went on her holiday....

so... what makes you smile!

up in the air i fly....

j received his recreational pilots licence a few weeks back... today he took me up for a flight and it was breathtaking. i must admit there were times where i thought i was going to fall out of the plane,

but all it took to calm me down was j's voice.

i can't wait for him to take me up again...

up so late...

my boss had free tickets to see tori amos and she wanted to take me... i went of course free tickets yay! a friend of a friend of hers does tori amos's landscaping back in the UK, so every time she tours brisbane there is always two tickets waiting for her at the door. how cool is that!

now most of you probably don't know her, she was big in the 90's and i loved her earlier stuff.

it was.... interesting. her music was beautiful and it was great to watch and witness what a real musician is like. her voice was just flawless. the only downfall is that her songs are really mellow and with the show based predominantly on her and her pianos (plural she can play more than one at a time that's how talented she is); it became a little drawn out.

didn't get home til 12:30am body clock woke me up at 6:30am with a full days work ahead of me... i don't know how im going to survive.

superstition got the better of me....

friday the 13th was mean to me this year... i know its been a couple of weeks now since friday the 13th but i think i needed time to just get over it before sharing this horrible day with you.

1st woke up and found myself running late for work
2nd had a flat battery in my car that had set me back $160
3rd thanks to the battery being flat i was 2hrs late for work
4th on the way home i was pulled over for speeding at a school zone. $200 in fines.
5th spent all night at my engagement party worrying about my family and their inability to have a good time.

i have always been a superstitious person, but now its ten fold. my wedding theme was black and white and now since the chain of bad luck im changing things a little and removing most of the black and replacing it with red. so no black shoes, no black and white roses... just red, red, red.

the engagement party at the german club was nice. so many people came, but as mentioned it was hard trying to please people.

much still watching the money situation for the wedding and the honeymoon. did i mention we are going to japan? yahooooo!!!!

anyway, did manage to scrounge up enough money to go to the movies and watched the most romantic and lovely story ever... i recommend it to those who don't mind leaving the cinemas with mascara running down their face.
