hey shorty, its your birthday....

29 and feeling kind of old... but i had the best weekend.

saturday i spent it with mum to celebrate both our birthdays. took her out to lunch and she surprised me with a BIG my little pony. the story behind it is very special to me... when i was growing up we were so poor that she was only able to buy for me the simplest my little pony and even though it didn't compare to my friends collection of 10,

i treasured it just as so much.

so in memory of this, she decided to give me the ultimate my little pony... it sings, it moves and interacts..

my mum is so cute!

anyway, today i invited some friends and family over for a bbq... had so much food i felt sick. i think it went well despite the torrential rain that we had.

oh and the presents.... cant forget the presents!!!

but the best surprise ever was a trial for our wedding cupcakes. my friend c' is kind enough to help us out with it and let me say that it tasted and looked like heaven... she is the best ever!!!

happy new year!!!

i hope that everyone enjoyed their new year... mine was spent horizontal!

the story goes like this...

our plan to celebrate the new year was simple... a trip to the antiques store in paddington, lunch at purple gorillas, a joy ride on the plane with j and then dinner out at an Italian restaurant. (must eat spaghetti in the new year; a superstition my mum passed on to me to signify long life)

so, everything was going according to plan, the antiques store was nice and so was lunch. the plane trip over bribie island was breath taking. i was really pleased with the travel sickness tablets that i took it worked a treat!!! but little did i know that i picked up the brand which knocks you off your feet and on the way home i could not keep my eyes open. i think i slept for over 5hrs and woke up at 11pm. needless to say our romantic dinner was spoilt and our new year was spent watching bad TV.

well... because i have no photos to put up i thought i would share with you my status on facebook which sums up my dull year!!! try it... its kind of cool...

we met up at the mall and did some well deserved cake eating and window shopping, it was great to see them for it has been so long.

this dress i recently bought for it was marked down from$120 to $20... got to love a bargain.

anyway, was going to wear it for my hens night but after the struggle i have been having trying to find a dress for my wedding reception, im thinking that maybe this would do.

what do you guys think, should i keep looking?

survived the heat by going to the movies. we watched sherlock holmes. good movie but the ending disappoints.
